The Jozani Forest National Park is a protected area located on the south coast of Unguja Island. The park is home to a diversity of wildlife. The park is also a popular tourist destination, with visitors able to visit the park’s many attractions, including hiking trails and natural pools.

The forest is well known for its many endemic species of animals and plants. This makes it a popular tourist destination across the world. Zanzibar Red Columbus Monkeys are one of the beautiful wildlife species that attracts many people to travel to Zanzibar. The Zanzibar red colombus is a rare, endemic species that is only found on the island of Zanzibar. 

In addition, the reserve has sizable mangrove swamps and stretches of natural woodland that are home to rare species such as sykes monkeys, bush babies, duikers and hyraxes. The garden contains a wide variety of plants and animals, both bird and butterfly-related.

There are forty different bird species and over fifty different butterfly species. Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park is located on the island of Zanzibar, and it encompasses 50 km2 (19 sq mi).  In Zanzibar, there is only one national park that spans an entire island.  The Red Colombus monkey is a primate found only on Zanzibar Island, and it calls the attraction location home.
